Genestra Brands by Seroyal has formulated a number of liquid Calcium-Magnesium supplements which are suitable for vegetarians as well as for people who may have difficulty swallowing pills. Calcium and magnesium contribute to the health and maintenance of bones and teeth and are particularly effective when taken together in a two to one ratio, like this. They also assist in tissue formation, the metabolization of carbohydrates, fats and proteins and helps maintain proper muscle function. Vitamin D has also been added because it improves calcium's absorption, and also helps maintain bone health in its own right. This is available in either peppermint or fruit punch flavour, or in raspberry (whose formula has more vitamin D, which may be of more interest to older adults at risk of osteoporosis).
